Advanced Remote Audio Question

R

Ryan Hanks

I want to be able to redirect the sound from my laptop to
another computer. I would like to be able to be working
on my and running windows media player and have whatever
sound that is being produced by WMP transfered to a PC on
my local network because my PC is hooked up to my home
audio system. I'm not worried about too much latency.

Essentially the same thing is accomplished using Remote
Desktop and Remote Assistance, but I want to be able to
select an audio device driver that will automatically
provide this functionality.

Does anyone know of a way of accomplishing this?

Only thing I can think of is to setup one of the many media servers on
your machine and then "stream" the audio (using Windows Media, Real,
or Shoutcast).
