ADOBE ACROBAT and SPOOLER SUBSYSTEM APP CONFLICT?

Is there anything in the literature that suggests a conflict between Adobe
Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 and the Vista Spooler Subsystem App? (HP
LaserJet 1022).

I found that if I deleted the spooler files and reinstalled the printer,
everything worked well UNTIL I tried to print an Acrobat file when the
Spooler Subsystem App error came back and wouldn't go away until I went
through the reinstallation process all over again.

Thoughts?

UPDATE:

I get the same error trying to print from the Adobe Reader 9 as well. What
is going on here?

Thank you.

Adobe has some "fixes" that I will try. Meanwhile, according to web
research, it appears that HP printers 1020 and 1022 have a problem with
Acrobat files (especially if they contain "pictures" according to an email I
received from an HP tech). The issue relates to the HP printer driver and
perhaps later versions of Acrobat. Because these printers are no longer
made, HP seems to have no plans to upgrade the drivers. Too bad.

There are some workarounds. none of them perfect. However, printers don't
last forever and I believe that the best future customer is someone who
wrote a check in the past and was happy with the product. And lots of
people make printers.

PLEASE ADD THIS TO THE ADOBE - SPOOLER SUBSYSTEM DATA BASE.

There is a conflict between Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 and similar and HP 1022
LaserJet Printers and perhaps HP1020 as well. Trying to print from Acrobat
creates a Spooler Subsystem App. errors. The problem may only occur when
trying to print graphics but not pure text.

Neither rebooting nor restarting the spooler clears the problem. The Spooler
can be reset by deleting the Windows - System32- Spooler - Drivers - 32x86
file and uninstalling - reinstalling the printer per Microsoft's
instructions elsewhere posted.

The problem can be resolved by one of the following:

-export to Word (feature not available in Acrobat Reader).

-print as image (file - print - advanced)

-per HP email -- reinstall the printer using the HP LaserJet 6L Driver.
First, under control panel - Turn Windows features on or off - print
services - check only the LPD and LPR items. Use usb001 as the "port" when
installing the printer.

Hope this helps others with the same issue.
