adjust speed for restoring taskbar after auto-hiding?

Is there a way to make the taskbar re-appear a bit quicker? Is there any way
to adjust this speed? I do have it set in the Taskbar properties window, to
auto-hide. I'd like to keep this function, just have it appear a bit quicker.

I think there may be a setting you can hack for the taskbar time out in
regedit, or maybe turn of any menu effects you have active in the display
properties, appearance, effects dialogue.

If you mean the properties dialogue from the Desktop, I went into the
Appearance tab, and the Advanced (as well as Effects) button, but found
nothing that would change the speed of displays--only the size and color of
borders. I'll google for a regedit hack--thanks for thinking of that.

Don't hide it at all, just drag it up to one side of the screen to
reduce the real estate it takes up.
