Reminder: My iPAQ PPC install cd loaded and upgraded me from OL2000 to OL2002 on my W2000 laptop. That's how I came to where I am. Not by choice.

How do I know if a email field is valid? How do I check? Thanks.

I already posted the instructions for configuring the OAB. For stubborn
cases, you may need to remove OAB, restart Outlook, and re-add the OAB to
reset it.

Use the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) to check your PST for errors. Make
sure Outlook is closed first.

I don't have the beginning of this thread anymore. Remind me how you
transferred this PST to your current profile and whether any of these
Contacts were imported.

Also, make sure the email field in each Contact is a valid (resolved)
entry.

Oh, great. So you upgraded Outlook, but not the rest of the Office Suite?

Open a Contact Record. When you look at the Email field, is it underlined?

The email field is underlined. And the display as field in complete (I did not have this field in OL2000).

Then this is one of the infamous in-place upgrades from Outlook 2000 IMO
mode. Have you created a new profile from scratch yet? Did your PST file
contain errors?

The scanpst.exe only found minor inconsistencies and repaired them. The new profile is created and in place.

Then I can't fix it. Did you back up your PST file before you upgraded?
What exactly do you see now in the Outlook Address Book?
