Thanks Drew, but I have addresses in my "Contacts" in OE and there is
nothing in the Address Book. Am I missing somewhat?

While in OE, Open your address book and click on Help - About. It will show
you both the address book name and where it is stored.

Search for *.wab and include hidden/system folders in your search.

When I want to save my address book data to place somewhere else (like a new
computer) I open OE, open the address book function, click on File....
Export.... choose Address Book (WAB). This allows me to export it where I
want it. Usually to a floppy disk if I'm trying to move my info. Now I can
take the floppy to the other computer, insert it. Now in the other computer
I open OE, open Address Book, choose File... Import... choose Address Book
(WAB) and point it to my floppy drive. Now I can import my saved Address
Book to the other computer.

This also works with different identities in Outlook Express. Due to SPAM I
changed my email address under a new identity. Using the Address Book
Import/Export functions I was able to Import my WAB addresses from the
previous identity before deleting that identity.

Just make sure you are in Address Book when you do it. If you are just in
the opening version of Outlook Express you can click on File.... Export....
Address Book but the only format it offers is "Text File (Comma Separated
Values). But if you first open Address Book you can choose what format you
want.

Is MS Outlook (or MS Office) also installed? It sounds like Address Book is
configured to share contacts with Outlook.

Do you have this Registry key?...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software
\Microsoft
\WAB
\WAB4

If not, STOP; If so, is there a DWORD named UseOutlook and is its value set
to 1 (one)?

If not, STOP; If so, Address Book is configured to share contacts with
Outlook, even if you don't use it (can happen with the install of Office).
Change the value to 0 (zero), Address Book should be available to you and
all should be well. (If that DWORD is not present, don't create it, and
don't alter any other DWORD values.)

Note that any changes (additions, deletions, edits) made while sharing was
enabled will not be available (displayed) in Address Book when sharing is
disabled (<—which sounds like your situation, so I wouldn't bother <w>).
