Adding to my Favourites

Hi guys,

When I add a new link to my Favourites, it NEVER sorts
alphabetically by default. I have to go in there, right
click, and hit Sort Alphabetically. HOWEVER this is only
a temporarily solution as when I close IE down, and re-
open it, it's not sorted alphabetically, the newly added
favourite is back to being at the bottom of my list of
favourites, enought though it should be at the top (when
sorted alphabetically)!

As you can imagine this is quite frustrating.

Can anyone help?

P.S. Thanks in advance, as it's nearly impossible to find
my post after I've sent it, and replying to help is next
to impossible also.

Click on Favorites, then hold down the left click on the
URL link and move it to wherever you want to in
alphabetical order on the list. IE will remember this
order. Doing it in the folder only does that for the
folder view, not for the list in IE.

Go to this key in regedit:

'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites'

Delete the value named "order"

Right-click the 'favorites' key and select 'permissions'. Use the 'Advanced' button to deny
yourself write permission. This will prevent the 'order' value from being recreated & your
favorites will sort alphabetically, even as new entries are added.
