Adding shortcut to the Start Menu?

E

eric

Hi!

This is probably easy but how can I add a shortcut (by script or registry?)
to to Start Menu so that it shows directly when I click on Start-button. (I
know how to put it in Start, All programs but I want to put it so the user
sees it directly when she clicks Start).

I have a script where I copy out a couple of files and I'd like to show a
shortcut to one of the files.

Any ideas?

Each User has their own key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage

in the right panel the value Favorites contains the Start Menu Pin List. It
is in Binary form and contains information other than the applications
pathnames.
