adding recent programs to recent documents list

awhile back i came across hack to the registry that allowed me to add
recent programs to my recent documents menu when using classic start
menu ?

does anyone know what i am talking about or where i can find it ?

There is no such registry hack AFAIK. But there is a third-party add-on
which may help.
