Hi all!

Is there a way to add a specific domain user to the local administrators
group on each domain computer using group policy (like it is done with the
domain-admins when you add the machine to the domain)?

TIA

Use Computer Configuration / Security Settings / Restricted groups

After I apllied this I expected to find the specified group as a member of
the local administrators group. This was not the case. Any reasons for that?

I assume you applied the GPO to the OU containing the computers? And that
the computer accounts have access to "Read & Apply" the GPO? Also, did you
refresh the policy on the computers (either through reboot or secedit
/refreshpolicy)
