Add to Task "Update list" in Outlook 2003

Does anyone know if it is possible to add additional people to the "Update
list" on the details tab in Outlook 2003? The field is grayed out and is
based on the individual that assigned the task to me. It would be convenient
to add other people to the update list so that they could get updates on the
task as well. Is this possible?

I would like to know how to delete the person designated under "update list"
since the e-mail address is no longer valid and I receive an Undeliverable
message each time the task is generated.
