Add/Remove Programs tool is messed up

When I open the Add/Remove Programs from within Control Panel, I see this
HUGE white space between 2 programs. I don't know how that got there...plus,
when I click on Add/Remove Window componets, I get this message that says:
Another copy of this setup program is running. Wait until the other setup is
completed before attempting to run this program again. What gives?

Hello,

This large white space appearing in the add/remove programs applet can be caused by an improper icon
registration caused by a third party program installation. Raymond Chen has discussed more about
this issue on his blog:

Why does Add or Remove Programs show a large blank space?

Okay, I was able to remove the white space as I know it was in the AutoCad
LT program ...I removed the -1 value and or Ishould say i removed the
negative and viola! Gone, but I am still having the problem with the
Add/Remove Windows Components ... it still keeps telling me:
Another copy of this setup program is running. Wait until the other setup is
completed before attempting to run this program again. Why is that?
