Add & Remove Problem

I loaded some software onto my computer last week and I worked with it
for a couple of days. Now I want to remove the software as it seems
that what I have is illegal to have.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Add or Rempve Programs. What I get is
a screen showng about 8 programs that are installed and they all begin
with the letter A. I then have to scroll a long distance down before I
see trhe next programs which happen to be Dell products. Nowhere do I
see the product I am looking to delete. I have tried sorting thr
programs by 'last date used' and still no luck.
A couple of questions:
Why do I not see the program I am trying to remove?
Why is there such a big gap between the first part of the listing,
those programs beginning with A and the rest of the programs?

Thanks for any and all help.

Quite apart from the oddity you describe, if the software has its own
UNINSTALL function then you may as well use that.

I went to Kellys Korner and ran the 2 scripts shown there. Both ran
with a message saying 'White space removed'. Yet when I go back to Add
remove Programs the white space is still shown. So I need another
solution to that problem

As for removing the software it did not come with any uninstall
feature.

Thanks for any and all help.

Look in the Registry key and see if there is a DisplayIcon value still
there with -1.

How can the "last application listed" not have an uninstall feature?
