Add/Remove

There's an odd gap in the list of programs within Control Panels
Add/Remove list. Specifically, the gap is between Microsoft Calculator
Plus and Microsoft Intellipoint 5.2.
You think you're at the end of the list of programs installed and
realize much is missing. Pressing the navigation down arrow skips over
the blank patch to reveal the rest of the list.
It's not a big deal, but I'm wondering why there is a gap. My wife's PC,
down the hall, has a continuous list of programs. Both of the systems
have nearly the same software installed.

Beats me. The negative number is usually what causes the white space.

Thank you for trying to help. I wonder about the quote below--I did not understand the "or remove the last application listed." I've
got the spot saved in Registry master favorites but I hesitate to whack
it- the last application. I save a backup of the registry often but the
problem isn't that significant.
I dunno...

Ask yourself these two questions.

How often do you use Add or Remove Programs?
Is it worth it to try to fix it?

I have AutoCAD LT 2000i. The white space in Add or Remove Programs usually
shows up after the AutoCAD LT 2000i listing. Kelly's fix fixes the problem,
but I have to reapply the fix *evertime* I add or remove a program in Add or
Remove Programs.

I fixed the "blank spot" problem!!!!
Although the script found no negative numbers, I still believed that you
and "Kelly's Korner" had identified the problem for me. Since an item is
missing from Control Panel Add/Remove, I thought about looking at the
list with another uninstall program.
I've had PCMag's Unclean on my system for a long time but I just thought
of utilizing it for this purpose. Better late than never, I guess...
Anyway, I found Microsoft Encarta 2000 in the Add/Remove list of Unclean
but it did not appear in the Control Panel Add/Remove list. Also,
alphabetically; this is the spot Encarta should be in-- blank space
area.
I removed Encarta with Unclean and now the blank space is gone.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
