Add new files to Briefcase ?

I have a folder on my desktop that is "shared", and a briefcase on my
notebook that the files were dragged into. I can update files in either the
desktop or the notebook and the updates to and from are successful.

However, if I create a new folder or a new file in the Briefcase (on my
notebook), it is ignored and never updated to the desktop when I choose
"update all".

Is there any way to get this to work ? Or do I have to manually move the
files to the desktop, then manually drag them back to the briefcase ?

Did you ever get an answer to this problem? I've got this problem as well and it makes briefcase somewhat unusable. If it does not really keep *all* the files sync'ed, then what is the value?

Not sure what the original post was, as you haven't included it here, but in
my experience, both offline files and briefcase really have too many
problems for me to bother with them, so I've started using SecondCopy 2000
from www.centered.com instead - it's cheap and does the job perfectly. I'm
not a paid shill - have no affiliation with the company other than liking
their product.
