Add Disk counters in performance monitor

On my windows 2000 server we cannot start any disk counters.
We tried to enable the counters by using: perfdisk -y and a tool called
exctrlst.exe from the resource kit.But this did not work. We also
installed hotfix from KB Article Number(s): 828603. This also did not
work, can anyone help me.

How are you trying? What happens when you try? What errors are generated in
Event Viewer?
