Active X

When I go from page to page in IE I get this annoying
message asking if I want to run Active X and other scripts
for that page. There seems to be no way to turn this off,
it has only started doing it since I had a crash and have
had to re-install XP Home. I can not find anything about
Active X or scripts in the help menu for IE, so could
someone out there please help before I put my boot through
the screen.

The only way to "turn it off" is to *always* allow ActiveX, and most of the
other Scripts. Unwise, but admittedly a lot faster to surf.... until your
adventures grind to a halt as you spend much more time cleaning Parasites
and Malware from it.
