Accidentally deleted user profile

I accidentally deleted a user profile which has all my important work in the My Document folder. Is there any way I could retrieve back all the documents OR maybe 'undelete' the profile?

Hi,

Once deleted, the profile is gone. If you elected to save the user files at
deletion, then they should still be on the system.

Otherwise, you can try an undelete utility to recover the files (but not the
profile). These are commonly available for free, and work on the premise
that the space the file formerly occupied has not been overwritten with new
data yet. Once that has occured, recovery requires more extensive (and
expensive) work with dedicated forensic tools by someone who knows what they
are doing.

This one here works quite well for basic file recovery:

I have not tried this, but it is *just* possible that if all that was
done was delete the profile, in the form of the ntuser.dat part of the
registry, that System Restore might restore it, going back to the day
before it was done. Not I fear likely to be enough, but worth a try
