Access violation

Trying to fix a computer that had over 8000 virus files on it. Antivirus
says tey are all deleted but damage is done, I fear.
Now I get an error when trying to run Spyware Doctor, Trend Micro
antispyware.
Error message says:
'Access violation at address 011412eo in module 'taskdir.dll read address
00000000.
Also get message saying that 'Word', 'Excel' and 'Powerpoint' are not
properly istalled and need re-installing.
However, everything works in Safe Mode.
I'd be very grateful for any help at all.
Thanks
Ray

May be this will help:

Access violation at address 01B112E0 in module 'taskdir.dll'
taskdir.dll is a known trojan file and is the file causing the access
violation.
Recently there has been a change to this file which makes it hidden in
normal windows mode. We are in the process of writing a brand new signature
to remove this file. However, in the meantime you can remove the file by
performing a FULL Spyware Doctor scan in Safe Mode.

To Restart the Computer in Safe Mode:

1.. Click on the Start button. The Start menu will appear.
2.. Select ''Shut Down'' from the menu (''Turn off Computer'' in XP).
The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box will appear.
3.. Select ''Shut down'' (or, ''Turn Off'' in XP) and click the Yes (or
OK) button.
4.. When the computer starts back up, begin immediately by pressing the F8
key repeatedly until the Windows Startup menu appears with various options.
5.. By using the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, select 'Safe
Mode'.
Do not select 'Safe Mode with networking' or any other modes.
6.. Login to your account (if asked).
7.. Wait and eventually Windows will start in Safe Mode.
8.. Open Spyware Doctor, run a FULL Scan, after the scan, click on 'Fix
and Continue'.
Reboot your computer after you have completed these instructions.

NOTE: If you have any difficulties getting the Windows Startup menu to
appear at step 6, try the following to get into Safe Mode:

Try holding down the left shift key instead of pressing the F8 key while
booting up it. Begin immediately pressing the F5 key, about once a second,
until the message 'Windows is bypassing your startup files' appears.
