Access to administrator data on old disk

My PC failed to boot even after a repair of windows. I have installed a new
disk and reinstalled XP on to the new disk.
The new administrator account however cannot access the data under the
'Documents and settings\<old_admin_user>' folder on the old disk.

How can I access this data?

Open help and Support and search on "Take Ownership" (without the quotes)
