Hi there,

I have recently bought a new PC as my old one was giving me the dreaded Blue Screen 2 finger salute everytime on boot-up....

I have now moved the old boot drive into the new machine as a secondary disk so that I can copy the data off it onto the new PC's hard disk.... this is fine, other than I cannot get into my user directory on the disk (under documents and settings) - this was the administrator user. When I try to go into the directory on the hard disk I get an access denied message.
Looks liek the hard disk has the directory locked, but I can't boot up on the disk to get in there.

Any suggestions of how I get at the data in there??????

Any help greatfully appreciated.
