Access is denied-system error 5

Guest

For some reason I keep getting a system error 5 (access is denied)
whenever I try to map to a drive on my main home Vista machine. VPN
server that I use seems to be functioning normally and I can map from
the Vista machine to my laptop. I have checked net user and by
administrator name is listed. I have no trouble mapping from my
laptop to XP machines using the same VPN server and procedure.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you running with Password Protected Sharing Enabled, or Disabled? It's fine
that the administrator name is listed, but is it activated for network access?
What's the Network Location Type?

Thanks indeed--very useful link--enough information there to solve the
problem.

Of course, to get access to administrative shares one has to do this
registry fix:

Again, thanks!!!
