access denied

I have a home network of two computers both operating on xp pro,I have tried
adding a 3rd comp also op.sys is xp pro and although it shows on both
machines in my ms home workgroup I cannot access it,each time I try I get
the error message "you do not have permission consult the administrator" I
am the administrator and I am logged on all 3 machines as the administrator.
I am operating through a DLINK router can anyone advise me what I am doing
wrong it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
