Access 2002 and windows server 2003

Hi - I have a front end Access 2002 mde app that links tables from a mdb
file on a network.
This works fine... but recently the network server was upgraded to windows
server 2003 from
SBS 2000.
Since then it cannot open the file. Yeah I know... check the permissions.
Done this a few times
and the user that is logged in can read/write/and modify files in this
location.
The file and mde integrity is fine (no corruption).

The client is running windows XP SP2 since before the problem started using
Access 2002 runtime
to run my app. I checked and the client is running MDAC 2.8 SP1. Not sure
what the server
runs or if this is applicable to the problem.

So I'm starting to consider things like maybe a change from FAT32 to NTFS
but I think thats going
down the wrong track.

Has anyone experienced a problem like this or have any suggestions?

Hum, does your runtime package have the ability to re-link to the back end?
(you kind of need that in your package...otherwise support is going to be
impossible).

Try moving the file to your local pc, and then re-link. Does it work now?

Then, try re-linking back to the back end on the server....does it work now?

I don't see any reason why this would not work......
