Access 2000 developer and Vista

HI,
I'm running Access 2000 developer on a vista OS. I have an Access db in
folder "Program Files/myfolder." When I try to convert to a .mde and select
the output to be in the same folder, everything appears to be working, but my
..mde file is no where to be found. No error messages or anything, just no
file......
Any help would be appreciated. Never had this problem on my old system.
Thanks

Imho Vista security:

As user you haven't anymore write access to the program folder. For
compatibilites sake, Vista has an virtualization layer, so your file
should be found somewhere in your profile folder.

In addition to Stefan's answer I'd stop installing MDB/MDEs and any
updatable files such as INI files anywhere in the Program Files
hierarchy. Far, far better off using the Documents and Settings (or
similar) folder.
