I browsed the ms website went here and there and found a link to update my
windows updater and so i had a chance to download sp2 rc2. But when i was
downloading SP2 it came around 1.60 mb and failed because of my internet
conxn. Now whenever i try to redownload SP2 RC2 it automatically starts from
1.60mb and immediately says FAILED. where will this temp file be stored in
my computer? i have windows in my c: drive. don't this updater have a good
resume option?

I had no problems restoring the download, and on one of my computers, it was
interrupted 4 times due to a DSL problem. It resumed every time and on the
fourth try completed and installed properly.

I recommended downloading the stand alone installer file (264mb) cuz the
update is too large for dialup or slow DSL's.

Try clearing your IE cache and clean out the temp folder for your user in
Documents and Settings and then try again. I believe that the dl will stop
at that point if it thinks the dl was halted during the dl.

Windows Update V5 fully supports resumes and has worked well over here.
Did it just die because your internet closed out, or did you get an
actual error? Anyways, the Windows Update temp folder can be found under:
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate
