about receive ring times

Dear all:



I¡¦m using Windows 2003 to be my fax server, and for receive only.

I setup that when telephone income and only one ring, then fax server will
start to receive.

But my fax will wait until 4 or 5 rings then start to receive.



How should I solve this problem?

I guess this might be a problem with your modem device. It's possible that
some modem devices make ringing noise but don't send the ringing event as
expected. Tell us the modem you have. Also tell us how you are configuring
the 'number of rings' so that we can make sure that's the right way.

Do you have the same problem when you set the number to other values like 2
for example?
