A8V Deluxe Overclocking Questions

Hello all.

For the subject motherboard, I wish to attempt some overclocking and
would like any input in validating my interpretation/interpreting the
ASUS BIOS options/terminology.

1. The Hyperthreading frequency (1000, 800,...) can be seen as the
multiplier, yes?

2. The memory limit is the same as a divider?

I have a 3200+ Venice core and want to take it to a 3500+ equivalent for
starters, which from my reading, should be easy to achieve.

So, thanks in advance for comments and feedback.

i have the same motherboard. with a venice 3000+ A64 mine is oc to 2.2ghz from
1.8 and runs great makes it a de facto 3500+
i have the freq at 246x9 . htt at 800mhz and all mem settings on auto with no
problems. the memory is running at ddr400 speeds in dual channel. and its just
giel value ram 2x512
since your cpu has a x10 multiplier it would be a piece of cake to up it to
2.2ghz just set the freq to 220 and i would drop the htt to 800 just to be safe.
you can probably do way better then that though. with the venice cooling should
not be a problem at all as mine runs at 32c idle. on stock cooling.
note i'm running 1014.08 bios.
good luck

What version of this board do you have (i.e. 1.02 or 2.00)?

Typically it's printed on the board beteen the pci slots after the name,
like: A8V rev 2.00
