A7V400-MX have problems with Nero

I have just upgraded a computer for a friend. M/B is Asus A7V400-MX
with
2800 XP cpu 512M ddr Ram and a new 80G Seagate 7200 HDD.

She has found some software is not functioning properly notably Nero
DVD burning software. It complains that it is not compatible with
this version of Windows (XP Pro). It is the same OS that she had
before and had no trouble. Has anyone else had problems? I thought
about upgrading the BIOS, can't think what else it could be.
The previous setup was an Athlon 908MHz CPU on an ASUS A7VL-VM

Can anyone help Please :)

Did you do a repair install? Are there any yellow/red marks in Device
Manager?

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Nero? I've upgraded the
motherboard on a couple pc's with Nero on them and didn't run into any
trouble with Nero, but you never know.

Thanks for replies.
FJ: Sp1 and SP2 are both installed

JAD: The only parts that were not changed were the case and power
supply. I'm not sure if the power supply needs to be changed though.
Will have to check.

Have to check the device manager for anything suspicious there. I did
try uninstalling and reinstalling Nero.

Thanks for your help.

It seems the version of Nero was not compatible with service pack 2.
Asimple upgrade from nero fixed it.

This new Motherboard still has problems I think. When you power up,
the power cuts out completely after about 500 milliseconds and
immediately comes back on. I thought the power supply might be
struggling (it was the old PSU and case) so replaced the case and PSU
but the same thing occurs. Has anyone had this sort of problem before?

That's unacceptable behaviour. Start the RMA process. You'll probably have
to go through tech support to confirm it's the motherboard. But, if they
solve the problem - great.
