"Nero burning rights" msg with winxp sp2 and nero ultra edition 6

I am trying to recall what software I might have installed that could have
caused this, nero ultra edition 6 does not recognise my blank dvd-r anymore
(itdoesn't burn anything anymore only reads) when previously same dvd-ram
drive worked without any problems, previously when loading a blank dvd-r
into the dvd-ram drive it would auto load nero start smart, now it does
nothing, just the light in the dvd-ram drive keeps flashing, I had installed
commodo antivirus but have since removed it, and installed logmein, but
couldn't completely uninstall it from the registry

When I tried to burn a dvd with the same make that previously worked, it
mentioned installing "nero burning rights" for non administrative accounts,
however this is an admin account

does anyone know if this is a known issue and how it may be resolved?

I am using a Matshita UJ810 ram drive

Open up your nero program and under tools, click on burnrights. Either hit
the reset button or set it up manually.
See if that does any good.

Sorry, you mentioned you had version 6. You'll have to download burnrights
from nero and install it. You can get it at,

The problem is it has worked all this while without ever having to install
Nero burn rights, after installation it still did not work, is there a
setting I might have tampered with a software uninstall that could have
caused this?
I rolled back the system to a restore point when the dvd-ram drive worked
but this time it still did nothing, I remember switching off nerocheck from
startup one time, but I have since put it back and still no difference.

Is there any other thing I might have missed as to why my dvd-ram on a
Matshita UJ-810 does no longer burn?

Does anyone know where I may be able to find my license number for nero
6.1.3.20 in the case where I may need to reinstall nero, or is there a
utility where nero 6.1.3.20 can repaired/reinstalled, as it is now my
matshita dvd ram uj-810 is not recognising any blank dvd-r, it can still
read dvd-r but cannot recognise any blank ones, device driver says the
dvd-drive is working properly, and I am running out of ideas. I tried
trying to burn with cdburnerxp but it also said please insert a dvd-r into
the drive even though one was already in the drive, brand new straight from
the case, I tried about 3 blank and brand new 8X dvd-r that had worked
previously on the same dvd-ram drive
