A7V133 + Nvidia card = no boot?

I have an Asus A7V133 mainboard with an ATI Rage 128 and am trying to
install an Asus V8420 Geforce 4 Ti4200 card. When I power on, I get 1
long beep and 3 short, which according to the manual says video card
failure or bad video memory. I know this card works, as it came
straight out of my other PC (an A7N8X). I also tried an old Geforce 2
MX card and it produces the same problem. I have the latest BIOS
installed. Any suggestions on what may cause this?

Thanks,
Aaron

Make sure the card is pushed firmly all the way into the AGP slot.

Does an A7V 133 supply 1.5v as the GFs require, or 3.3v as the Rage 128
used?

I am not sure. But I do know that the computer with the GF2 MX also has
an Asus A7V133 and works fine with it and the rage128. I have 3 PC's
here, 2 A7V133's and 1 A7N8X and all the vid cards work in all the
computers except this A7V133 only seems to work with rage 128. ODD!
I wish I could figure out what is wrong. I am really ticked off
because I just ordered a new nvidia card the other day (before I figured
out that no nvidia card seems to work). Hopefully I will have better
luck with the new card, however.

Geforce cards work fine with the A7v133. If you know the card is
good, then I would say a PSU issue. Try it with just the vid card,
and the boot HD, and that is it.
