A red cross appears where an image should - why ?

Ensure you have saved your page 1st. The select the images via the
navigation panel and highlight them all (images) by pressing ctrl and
clicking each picture. Then right click and selct publish to web.......
This is via frontpage.

hi
some images can be seen after publishing through cuteftp then others do not
and i have done the insertion all the same way

Make sure that the link/path to the images and the filename of the image, match exactly in terms of
CaSe, since under Unix/Linux "Imagename.GIF" is not the same as "imagename.gif"
