A problem when I select Windows Update

I have upgraded to SP2 and so far have not encountered any SP 2 related
problems? But...............

Even through I automatically receive updates from Microsoft, I still check
for myself. When I search for updates, I encounter a problem.:

"Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display page. You may
find the following resources helpful in resolving the problem". I also have
an error number of 0x80072EFD

This problem is between me, Windows and Norton Internet Security. Found a
match at Microsoft's site for this error code. I know it is Norton. When I
disable it, I find an update for 'Windows XP Service Pack 1 (Express)'

Since I have gone SP2 , I assume that I do not want a SP1 update. Is there a
way to tell Windows to ignore this update?

Unless of course this is a SP2 fix that thinks it is still SP1.

thanks

Sort of answered my own question.

Resolved my Norton issue. I installed the update, but appear to have backed
out SP2.

Eventually SP2 was showing as an available update and I did it again.

I quest I should have waited for someone to get back to me, but was curious.

Stuart,
BTW, I saw the same error message trying to run WU from our network at
the office, from inside an ISA Server based firewall. Worked fine when I ran
it from home, though.
