a problem about: detecting proxy settings

when I open my IE, then, the lower left-hand corner show me a
message:detecting proxy settings. usually, this message will keep displaying
for 5-10 seconds. After that,i can go to the homepage.by the way: my
homepage is :www.cnn.com.
i don't want my IE to detect proxy settings any more. who can teach me how
can i do that. thanks a lots

On your IE explore, select tools then internet options.
Next select the connections tab, and then press the LAN
settings button. Uncheck the automatically detect
settings then apply. Thats it. you only ever need this
checked off if you are using a porxy.
