a cable is unplugged

all of a sudden unable to reconnect to internet. running
o a part wired part wireless connnection to router. this
computer wired to router. Says cable disconnected, but
they re connected, but no green light at router. under
network connections, uncer local area connection, says
network cable, unplugged. Have tried 2 different ports on
router, and 2 different cables, same result. any ideas on
what this could be. Had problem once before, and it just
went away.. not sure what caused or fixed it

If the cable is OK and the Router then I would look at the Network card in
the PC. Normally they have a Diode by the cable connection if a PCI card.
Card been moved in its slot? Does card show in Hardware or BIOS.
