_vti_cnf / _vti_pvt folders

Hi all -

can anyone shed some light on what the _vti_cnf and vti_pvt folders do? and
is it safe to delete them?
Are they purely a FP made folder?

They are the FP configuration files required to manage the FP web
- do not delete them if you want to open the web again in FP
If you are using a 3rd party FTP to upload you do not need to upload them
