98 Clients can not log into a Win. 2000K server.

I have a single Windows 2000 server domain and all my 98 clients can no
longer log into the network. I am unaware of any changes to the server, i.e.
updates/SP’s since yesterday and have no idea why they can not connected.
Ipconfig shows proper settings and I can ping the server from the clients.

The error message I am getting is. “The specified file was not found.†in a
windows networking dialog window. All of my XP clients have no problem
logging in.

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I rather not reboot the
server during production hours, but will do so if need be.

Thank you.

What happens when you open a DOS prompt on your Win98
machine and type this command:

net use Q: \\YourServer\SomeShare

That command did work and we found the problem. The script file from the
server was not being executed, it was deleted or moved, not sure which.

However, why would that script file stop the whole process of connecting to
the network? Any ideas on that.

Thanks again.
