1) what would be my best pick?

SAPPHIRE Radeon 9200 PRO 128Mb DDR €119,90
SAPPHIRE Radeon 9600 128Mb DDR €139,90

i'm not willing to spend more for the 9600 pro

uses: office, webediting, some light image-processing, the occasional game

will run on amd xp-2500, 512DDR, ABIT NF7-S 2.0

2) on the SAPPHIRE-site I cannot find information about the bundled
software. anyone?

Between those two, the 9600 is the one to choose. The 9200 is based on the
older gpu and doesn't fully support DX9. You won't notice a big difference
in anything but gaming, but the 9600 will do a much better job there. Unless
the U.K. CD is different, software is just (older) drivers, owner's manual
in .pdf and PowerDVD. Download the newest Catalysts and install them
instead.

I can't comment on the bundled software but the 9600 is a far better
buy at 139 than the 9200 Pro at 119. No comparison at all.
