8GB RAM not displaying correctly

I have a Compaq G1 DL580 that is loaded with 8GB of RAM.
POST detects and counts the correct amount, and the server
is booted with the /PAE switch so it will recognize the
more than 4GB. Displayed memory is 7680MB or RAM, 512MB
less that the 8GB that it should be. Any ideas? I looked
throught the knowledgebase with no luck.

Thanks all,

Brian

That is very commom on servers. It is going to be used by your SCSI
adapter most likely. This isn't because of /PAE or anything like that.
Same thing would happen with less memory.
