875P vs 865PE - What's the difference?

I'm buying an board for Intel CPUs. Right now I'm looking
at P4P800 Deluxe and P4C800 Deluxe. I guess what chipset is
used tells something about the motherboards. So what're
some of the differences between 875P and 865PE?

Tom's Hardware is a bunch of liars and fools.

Now I?m tired of all this THG-bashing. What THG states here is basically
correct. Think for yourself before jumping on the "talk badly of THG
bandwagon". Do you personaly know what Tom has done wrong or have you just
heard too much of Kyle Bennett and Van Smith? Now include Ryan Shrout.
PAT is irrelevant, unless
you think 185 seconds vs. 188 seconds in Lightwave is worth worrying
about.

It?s an improvement. Going from an Atlon 3000+ to a 3200+ or Intel 2,4GHz to
2,6GHz. is an improvement as well, though you will barely notice it.
Guess a Duron is enough. Then buy one.

I do think for myself, and don't give a damn what any of the talking
heads on the other sites say. THG's articles are sloppy, poorly
written, and arrive at flawed conclusions. The only people who consult
it these days are those who don't know any better. It used to be good,
but a few years ago it went totally down the crapper. I stopped taking
it seriously when the Quantum Fireball+ LM review was published, I guess
around late 99/early 2000.

If you're comparing PAT to CPU clock speed then you really need to get
re-educated.

I agree. Now it's just about sensationalism (is there such a word?) and
keeping his sponsors happy.
