802.11g and wireless-B router

Could someone help me answering the following questions:

Can 802.11g wireless adapter (for laptop) work with Linksys 2.4GHz
Wireless-B Broadband router? Or more generally, can a 802.11g adapter work
with 802.11b (or 802.11a) router?

Standard 802.11b and 802.11g are compatible.
802.11g card will connect to a 802.11b Wireless Source.
802.11b card will connect to a 802.11g Wireless source.
Standard 802.11a is not compatible with 802.11g or 802.11b
