64bit vs 32bit

i will be installing the 64bit version on my 64bit machine however will my
32bit application work (in theory i understand its a beta)

32bit apps will run insiade of a 64bit enviroment, however 64bit apps will
not in a 32bit enviroment!

There are a lot of changes in Vista, both x86
and x64. Therefore there are many things that
can affect whether a 32-bit program will run on
x64 or even x86.

In Vista x64 the WOW64 is the compatibility
layer for this, the same as Win x64, but 16-bit
installers will prevent any program from being
installed because there is no 16-bit support in x64.
