Confused about 32bit and 64bit

Does Vista come in 32bit and 64bit editon? Can I run a 64bit edition on a
32bit machine and vice versa?

You cannot run a 64 bit edition on a 32 bit cpu. You can run a 32 bit
edition on a 64 bit cpu.

No You cant I dont think so anyhow, I have a 64bit and a 64bit vista and I
cant even get that to work so I am sure you will not be able to.

Just because it isn't working for you doesn't mean it won't work for the OP
or others. Many are running x64 Vista.

You are misreading something here. I replied to "karl" who said that he has
a 64bit system and 64bit Vista, but it's not working. So what is your
