3M touch install showing mtsinstall2k.dll missing

I created an image, then try to install the 3m tocuh driver, then it is
saying missing the above file.

Has any one seen this before?

Or any suggestion how to fix it. When I instlal 3m touch driver on the full
xp, no error, and no where to find the above file. It seems to me it is
dynamically generated, I talked to 3m touch tech support and they say they
do not support xpe and ask me to try the newest driver, the same result.

Any suggestion is appreicated!

Thanks!

Sorry I can't offer you any help, however, I am about to undergo the same
task you are doing, I am getting a 3m-touch screen to be mounted on our
prototype unit. When I spoke with the 3m guys they specifically told me that
they *DO* support XPE.

Is this a new touch screen? Do you have the latest controller? Is it a USB
controller?

I built an XP Embedded image about a year ago that included a 3M touch
driver and one about 2-3 months ago. I don't remember hitting that issue.

Unfortunately 3M doesn't supply componentized touch drivers like the ELO
touch screens. But the 3M drivers do work properly in XPe, it's just the
installer you're having an issue with. But you shouldn't be running it in
XPe anyways, the ideal thing here is to componentize the driver so it's
installed offline.

The last time i componentized the 3M drivers I didn't have that file you're
missing, this was for the USB touch with driver ver 5.63.1.0.

I just d/l'ed the latest version 5.64 and there is no reference in the INF
to that file you're missing, so it sounds like some anomaly with the
installer itself, not the drivers.
