Motherboard Gigabyte 7VT600P-RZ -RZ
Win XP Home (SP2)

I have a spare 3.5 bay in the front of my unit, under the floppy drive.

I would like to fit a USB drive into this bay.

The motherboard has a usb block showing 9 male pins for connection.

I cannot trace a suitable unit despite many searches.

Can anyone help please.

I've never heard of USB floppies that fit a drive bay, but who knows?

Don't let that stop you. Once you have a drive physically installed, by
whatever means, you need the cable harness that's used to provide USB ports
on the front panel. One end is a female USB A, and the other attaches to the
block on the mobo. A short USB 1.0 peripheral cable and you're all set.

USB ?? plate .Not sure of the technical name.

Something similar to those at the back of the PC often with 4 USB
connectors.
I have seen Card Readers for fitting into the location I mentioned.
