One of my remote sites unplugged the network card and plugged into the second
card set to DHCP but never been used.
The server received a DHCP address let's say 10.100.1.1 and hard coded IP
address on First network card is in DNS on 10.0.0.1. They corrected the
problem and connected the correct network card and the second card is now
unplugged.
The XP pro PC's are trying to connect to the wrong IP 10.1.1.1. The network
is no longer connected and all entries are removed from WINS server.
I have rebooted the PC, ran ipconfig /flushdns on the XP system, and ran the
repair util for the network card in XP but it still wants to go to the wrong
address.
