The 24" is better, but you really need the hardware to drive it to its full potential.

They are better than 22", 2" better... If you ever plan on playing games i dont think your computer had the pixel pushing power needed to run games at its native resolution.

If you have the extra money to burn, i dont see why not :)

Yes, 24" is better than 22" - it's a no-brainer basically

Samsung are good. I have a 20" widescreen Syncmaster 205BW, I'm happy with it, been thinking lately about getting a 24" but nah, LCD TV first, then save up the shekels again.....

I found these

BenQ FP241W 24 inch Wide Screen LCD Monitor £456

Acer AL2416WB. £249

24" Iiyama Prolite B2403WS-B1 LCD Wide £317

ViewSonic VX2435wm £459

Samsung 245B £369

24" LG L245WP Black Widescreen £458

Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP £411

Some interesting articles,

I'm really tempted by a 24" but whilst I was looking around I see that you can get a 22" for £150 with pretty good spec so I'm stuck on the horns of a dilema . I might just wait a while as when I started this quest the Acer 24" was £299 and now its £249 and thats dropped in the last two days .

I nearly went for a 22" at under £200 . I seriously considered the Acer AL2146WB under £250 that is some deal on a 24" monitor . But as they say theres one born every minute and I ended up being seduced by slick advertising and tempting reviews .:rolleyes:

I hope its as good as the reviews ,

http://www.dvhardware.net/review93_2_dell_2407wfp.html

It was those Call of Duty screen shots that tipped me over the edge . Them and the 4 year guarantee along with the zero dead pixle thingy and Revision 4 firmware for £419 inc vat and delivery for next day . :D

I'm only on level 5 of Tomb Raider , and am stuck on level one of Beyond Divinity and keep getting shot by snipers in the easy mode of Armed and Dangerous . So as long as the old 9800 lets me play them I'll be happy for a while . By the time I've finished Project X I'll have saved up some loot for a good game and the place will be littered with the dead and dying corpses of my foes

since those are older games (and ports) i dont think they will be displayed in full res glory. Interloped, it will fill the screen anyway :)

Haven't a clue about games and monitor settings as I'm just starting out on the games trail its just as complicated as the games themselves . I'm looking forward to watching movies on the big screen as I measured up and its a good few inches bigger than me TV and me 19" CTR . It should arrive tomorow , keeping me fingers crossed . :D:D

Yep I'm happy me monitor arrived an hour ago . I'm going to plug it in in a while after I've spent a while looking it over . This is one big baby and so thin .

Heres the folk I got it from and I paid £419.48 inc postage but it seems to have gone up in price to £438.28 inc postage .

I'm going to need a map to find me way around this vast screen , if you don't here from me for a while send out search parties
