2007 Contact Category issues

This is a strange one---one of my (computer-savvy) students called and wanted
to know why when she categorized her contacts she could see that they are in
the correct category individually-----but when she clicks on Category View
they don't all show up. She had one particular category that had 44
people----but in Category View only SIX showed up..... Does ANYONE have an
idea what could cause this? We did a work-around of creating a separate
folder for that group---but that is not really the proper answer. I have
used this site many times to get tricky answers and have been rarely
disappointed....I KNOW I can count on you guys! Thanks in advance!!!

If you ungroup the view and display the Category column, do all the contacts
really show the same category?
