2000 TSLS breaks after doamin upgrade from NT to 2003!

I have just upgraded our domain from Windows NT to
Windows server 2003 in mixed mode. We have a member 2000
server running TS and Citrix Metaframe.

Since upgrading the domain, the Licensing Server will not
start at all, it says that the LS must be installed
either on a domain controller or the server must be in a
workgroup!

Why is this not flagged as a major factor for admins to
consider when upgrading the domain, the reward we get for
spending thousands of pounds and dozens of hours doing
the upgrade is a broken terminal server!

What can I do to get this server running QUICKLY? We have
disabled staff who work from home who are basically
stuffed until I can get this server working again.

Install the TS Licensing Services on a 2003 Domain Controller. A
2003 LS can handle both W2K and 2003 TS CALs.

If you have any purchased TS CALs for downlevel clients, phone the
Clearinghouse to get them re-issued and install them on your new
LS.

Brian, this is explained in the following whitepaper:

Microsoft Windows 2000 Terminal Services Licensing

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/win2kts/deploy/tslicen.mspx

"For a Windows 2000 domain, this means the license server must be deployed
on a domain controller. This can be an existing domain controller."
