Upgrading TS2000 to 2003

HelpPls

I would like to take advantage of the new 2003 Terminal Server features. We
are currently running TS on a 2000 Server box on a 2000 Domain. What steps
do I need to take (after upgrading the OS itself) to upgrade Terminal Server
2000 to Terminal Server 2003? My TS License server is a 2000 DC, does that
need to be a 2003 box? If anyone can point me to any documentation on the
upgrade process it would be much appreciated.

Although I never do an inplace upgrade, this can be done.
Once your TS is running on Windows 2003, you also need a 2003
Licensing Server (and 2003 TS CALs!).

Upgrading a Windows 2000 License Server

When upgrading a license server that runs Windows 2000 to run
Windows Server 2003, the license database and installed license
tokens will be preserved. However, it may be necessary to re-
activate the license server after the upgrade has been completed.
To re-activate your license server that is upgraded from Windows
2000, start the Terminal Server Licensing tool and choose Re-
activate Server from the Action menu while the server is
highlighted. For more information, see "Terminal Server
Licensing" in Help and Support Center for Windows Server 2003.

I have the CAL's. Does the Licensing Server Still need to be a DC? Does
the DC then have to be 2003?

No, a 2003 LS does not have to run on a DC anymore. So you can
have a 2003 member server in a W2K domain, with the 2003 server
running both TS and TS LS.
