2 simultaneous downloads at a time?

It seems that on IE6, I can only download 2 files at a time. If I tried to
download a 3rd file, I would have to wait till one of the other two is done.

Is there a way to increase this simultaneous download limitation?

In addition to the suggestions that others have made, you
should consider the possibility that your ISP is limiting
the number of connections you can have at one time.
